The LGBTQ Humanist Alliance wants to know from you: what is your story?
It isn’t enough for us to identify and denounce inequality – we must take action. The LGBTQ Humanist Alliance is driven by a strong desire to unite compassion with community engagement that challenges oppressive attitudes and behavior. For this reason, we have begun to partner with the following national organizations as a means for humanists to engage in efforts to produce social progress:
Get Equal - Get Equal is a grassroots network that believes the energy, vision, and work toward our collective liberation can and must come from the ground, in communities that are most directly impacted by the work. They focus on immigration, religious discrimination, reproductive justice, and criminalization that targets LGBTQ people.
As a part of Get Equal’s advocacy campaign, the LGBTQ Humanist Alliance seeks to tackle various issues that marginalize the queer community. Please navigate Get Equal’s Campaign page to review how you can become part of the solution.
Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) - SURJ is a national network of individuals and groups organizing, mobilizing, and educating white people to act as part of a multi-racial majority for justice with passion and accountability.
The LGBTQHA partners with SURJ in providing humanist activists looking to take action as super volunteers. Help us build towards a brighter and just tomorrow by becoming part of the movement.
For those interested in working with either of these organizations as a representative of the LGBTQ Humanist Alliance, join us and help us in our march towards social justice!
